LOYOLA HOUSE
Los Altos Hills, California · Studio projectA FOUNDER'S OFFICE IN OAK AND CLAY.
White oak and a wall of handmade clay brick frame a long oak desk, a linen sofa, a brass lamp, and fog drifting through the oaks outside.
A founder's office within a house in the Los Altos hills. Oak floors and an oak ceiling, a wall of handmade terracotta brick, a desk long enough for two screens and a notebook, and a sofa for longer conversations. The technology is present; the room itself is wood and clay.
A single-story oak-framed wing with a brick end wall, a continuous oak ceiling with concealed cove lighting, a full-width window to the oaks, and a covered terrace off the end.
A room for screens that feels like a room for people. The materials set the mood, and the hardware disappears into the desk.
A warm, low wing at the heart of the house, where the work happens surrounded by oak and fog.
