The landscape for a modern house on a long lot in Southlake: a winding drive, rows of trees, two ponds edged with willows and a lawn that runs to the house.
Concept
Arrival as a walk through a park. The drive bends past a pond and under the trees, and the house appears last, across the water.
Structure
A concrete drive with a gated entry court, two ponds, willows and oaks, clipped hedges along the lot lines and a pool terrace at the house.
Challenge
A narrow, very long lot with the house at the far end.
Result
The length becomes the experience: every turn of the drive opens a new view.
